“ Can’t I just put them outside when it's warm enough?”

‘Hardening off’ is a term for getting these plants that have greenhouse growth accustomed to the outside sunshine and temperatures. What's warm enough? It depends on the plant, but once nighttime temps are above 10C, most can handle being outside. Start by putting the plants out in the sunshine they will be getting for a few hours. Over the next 4 or 5 days make it increasingly longer time. No one likes that sunburn the first day in Cuba.
