If you would love to work in a beautiful, warm environment surrounded by flowers and plants, you're in the right place! We are looking for friendly, hard-working individuals to join our team. Knowledge of plants is an asset, but not mandatory; a desire to learn more is required!

Positions are seasonal and typically run for 6 weeks, starting on or just before May 1st. We are currently accepting full-time or part-time applications.
We will have opportunities for a few team members to extend their contract to continue through the summer, though this is not guaranteed.

Details:

Each team member is assigned to a department within our greenhouse based on their interests and strengths. These are the main departments available:

• Store Cashiers
• Perennials & Shrubs
• Potted & Cell Pak Annuals
• Vegetables & Herbs
• Hanging Baskets
• Patio Pots
• Houseplants
• Production Puller (carting up product to be sent to the store)
• General Production Labourer

Departments do vary in tasks; some are more collaborative and others more independent. Certain departments include more customer service than others, but overall most departments include the following duties:

• Assisting customers in finding varieties they are looking for or directing them to the correct department
• Restocking product on tables as it arrives from production
• Cleaning, deadheading and organizing plants
• Maintaining a clean and organized department space
• Ensuring appropriate signage is displayed
  

Qualifications

• Friendly and kind
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Able to work independently and collaboratively
• Desire to learn
• Able to be standing for the majority of shift (aside from breaks)
• Able to work in a sunny and humid environment (additional food & water breaks provided as necessary)
• Reliable transportation (there is no public transit)
• Availability:
  • Full-time or part-time positions available
  • Daytime or late afternoon/evening shifts available
  • Ideally available to work on May 10th (Mother's Day Weekend), May 17th and May 19th (Victoria Day Weekend)
  • We are open Monday - Saturday, 9am-8pm in May; the more open your availability is, the better :)
